Computer Instructions

  1. Select the VoiceThread assignment link in Blackboard.
  2. Choose the “Create new VoiceThread” button
  3. Choose “Add Media”
  4. Select “Webcam Video”
  5. Record your presentation and select the red “Stop” button when finished
  6. Review/Playback your presentation and select “Save” when satisfied
  7. Enter a “Title” in the title field
  8. Enter a “Short description” in the description field
  9. Select the “Save” button
  10. Leave the check box unchecked for “and share with class” option
  11. Select the “Submit Assignment” button

Mobile App Set-Up & Instructions

  1. Get the VoiceThread Mobile App for your device
  2. Open the App
    • Tap “Settings”.
    • Enter hvcc.voicethread.com as the domain.
    • Tap “Sign in”.  This will direct you to HVCC’s log in page.
    • Enter your HVCC username and password
  3. Navgiate to the VoiceThread Assignment in your course and select the assignment link
  4. Select the “X” (upper right corner) to close the browser view and access the VT App
  5. Choose the Create icon
  6. Select the +Add button
  7. Choose Record video
  8. Allow VT to use your phone camera and microphone
  9. Record your presentation and select the red “Stop” button when finished
  10. Review/Playback your presentation and select “Save” when satisfied
  11. Enter a “Title” in the title field
  12. Enter a “Short description” in the description field
  13. Select the “Save” button
  14. Return to Blackboard
  15. Navigate to the VT Assignment
  16. Choose the saved VT you created from the list
  17. Leave the check box unchecked for “and share with class” option
  18. Select the “Submit Assignment” button
