Instructors can download and save the Grade Center as a comma-delimited file for use in a spreadsheet program, such as Microsoft Excel. You can also use this file to print from a spreadsheet program.

  • From the Control Panel
  • Select Grade Center
  • Select Full Grade Center
  • Select Work Offline
  • Select Download
  • Data
    • Select Data to Download: select one of the following options
      • Full Grade Center: downloads all Grade Center data, columns and users
      • Select Grading Period: if applicable, downloads a grading period
      • Selected Column: choose which column you want to download from the menu and check the box to include comments
      • User Information Only: downloads just the users (students), available in the course
  • Options
    • Select the following options:
      • Delimiter type = Tab
      • Include Hidden Information = Yes or No. Hidden information includes columns and users that have been hidden from the Grade Center.
  • Select Submit
  • Select Download button
  • Select Open from the File Download window.
    • Or, save to your computer: select Save from the File Download window and then you can open your Grade Center file in a spreadsheet program such as Excel
  • When prompted with an Excel warning message read the message and select Yes or No
  • In Excel, select the Microsoft Office Button from the toolbar.
  • Select Save As and choose Excel Workbook from the list.
  • The Save As dialogue box appears, select a location or folder to save your file to, for example My Documents.
  • Enter a Name for your file in the File name: field.
  • Make sure Excel Workbook (*.xlsx) is selected for the Save as type.
  • Select the Save button and your file will be saved in the location you specified.
