Instructor Resources for Web Enhancing your Course

Faculty can participate in online learning through the creation of a Web Enhanced Course (WEC). What does it mean to Web Enhance a course? That you provide web-based supplements to an in-person course (traditional on-campus classes). Faculty can use a course management system such as Blackboard (HVCC’s Learning Management System), online textbook supplements, or other websites.

Three GREAT Reasons to Make Your Course Web Enhanced:

  • Course Management – Feature course materials online through the Blackboard course area.  That’s 24×7 student access to your content!
  • Course Communication – Foster course discussion online through the Blackboard messaging system or through a virtual chat session.  That’s learning interaction!
  • Course Multimedia – Demonstrate concepts through audio, graphics, photos, and additional web resources.  That’s support for multiple learning styles!
