Wiki grading can be done by using a Rubric.  There are two ways to grade using a rubric, click the rubric link and grade in the task pane, or open the rubric in a separate windowview rubric in window


  • Set Edit Mode to ON
  • From the Control Panel
  • Select Course Tools
  • Select Wikis
  • Select the Name of a Wiki to open
  • Select the Participation and Grading button (located on the right-hand side of screen)
  • Select a Student’s Name from the Participation Summary page to see details
  • Review student’s participation
    • Page Version column
      • Select a Student’s Name to view the version without annotated changes
    • User’s Modifications column
      • Select the name Compare to Version __ to compare the versions
      • The Page Comparison page appears
        • Review the Comparison Details and use the Legend to assist with reviewing changes
  • From the Grade pane (located on the right-hand side of screen)
    • Under Grade by Rubric  click the rubric link to display the rubric in the task pane or click the view rubric in window view rubric in window button.
    • Choose rubric grading criteria
    • If desired, enter a revised grade in the Change the number of points out of __ to: field
    • Enter Feedback in the Feedback field (displays to students)
      Important Note: when grading in the rubric in a window you can select the Text Editor button to compose detailed or formatted comments in the feedback field
    • Select Save
    • Enter Grading Notes in the Grading Notes field (displays only to instructor)
    • Select Save Grade
      Note:
      The grade and any feedback will then display in the Grade Center
  • To grade the next user: choose one of the following:
    • From the View Contributions By: box, use either the Next User: or Previous User: arrows (< or >) or select another Student’s Name from the box
  • Select the OK button to return to main Wiki page
