Due Dates are more prominent now, especially with the notifications tool turned on. Due dates should be cleared or updated as part of semester prep as they will show up as overdue in notifications to students.


  • From the Control Panel
  • Select Grade Center
  • Select Full Grade Center
  • Navigate and select the Down Arrow next to the Column Header you need to edit due dates for
  • Select Edit Column Information
  • Column Information
    • Make any changes to the Column Name, Grade Center Name, or Description fields
    • Primary Display: make any changes by selecting one of the following options:
      • Score, Letter, Text, Percentage, Complete/Incomplete (checkmark appears if completed)
    • Optional: Secondary Display: make any changes by selecting one of the following options:
      • None, Score, Letter, Text, Percentage, Complete/Incomplete
        Note: Instructor view only
    • Category: make any changes by selecting one of the following options:
      • No Category, Assignment, Survey, Test, Discussion, Final Exam, Paper, Quiz, Midterm Exam, Journal, Extra Credit, Problem Set, Exam, Group Project, Attendance, Presentation, Other, Essay, Homework, Lab
    • Make any changes to the Points Possible field
    • Make any changes to the Associated Rubrics
  • Dates
    • Edit Due Date/Time to reflect current term dates/times
      • Select the check box and choose a due date/time
  • Grading Options
    • Optional: Enable : select the check box to use this option
    • Optional: : select the check box to use this option
  • Options
    • Include this Column in Grade Center Calculations: Select Yes to include in calculations. Select No to exclude in calculations
    • Show this Column to Students: Select Yes to display column to students. Select No to hide column from students
    • Show Statistics (average and median) for this column to Students in My Grades: Select Yes to display statistics to students. Select No to hide statistics from students
  • Select Submit
  • New Due Dates are reflected in the students view of the grade center and notifications such as What’s Due.
